St. Michael's School

At St. Michael’s School, we believe that learning should go beyond the classroom — and our NASA Educational Tour in May 2016 was a shining example of this vision. A group of 11 selected students from Classes VI to X were taken on a 10-day educational trip to the United States of America, offering them an incredible opportunity to blend science, global exposure, and adventure.

The highlight of the tour was a visit to NASA Kennedy Space Centre, where our students got to lunch with astronauts, witness 3D documentaries on space exploration, explore interactive exhibits, and even visit the actual launch pad — where countless space missions have taken off. Watching a space shuttle launch up close was a life-changing experience, igniting the dreams of many future scientists and space enthusiasts.

But the journey didn’t stop at NASA. The students also visited iconic places such as Niagara Falls, The Empire State Building, Times Square, The United Nations Headquarters, Broadway, Brooklyn Bridge, Disney Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Cocoa Beach. These destinations offered a rich cultural and historical experience, making the trip both educational and fun.

Our NASA Tour reflects St. Michael’s commitment to nurturing global citizens by exposing them to international learning experiences. It gave our students memories for a lifetime, broadened their perspectives, and inspired them to aim for the stars — quite literally.

The success of this tour has motivated us to continue organizing such immersive experiences in the future. At St. Michael’s School, we don’t just teach science — we help our students live it.
